Formed in Tucson, AZ in August 2011, Wayward Saints is Marisa Lyons on drums and backing vocals, John Moses on Bass and front man Johnny Low on guitar and lead vocals. Wayward Saint's original music harnesses a unique blend of alt country, Americana and roots rock twang with influences ranging from Hank Williams and Rev Horton Heat to the more contemporary alt country of The Old 97's and Drive By Truckers. Driving country beats and heavy bass lines blended with catchy melody, Southwestern guitar riffs and slick harmonies makes this band one to watch for in the upcoming 2012 Tucson live music calendar year. The bands debut EP "Sinners Communion" produced by local legend Loren Dircks will be released in December 2011. Thanks To Neil Harry for the pedal steel work and Loren Dircks for the guitar solo on Whiskey & Regret. Wayward Saints would also like to give credit to Anthony Fusco for his help on the chorus for Every Time I cross the Line and to Aaron Norris for his co-writing on the lyrics for Comets & Cigarettes.
