Pianist/singer Mr. Boogie Woogie (aka) Eric-Jan Overbeek was born on April 5, 1967 in Nieuw Vennep, the Netherlands. Mr.Boogie Woogie has been a success at many Blues- & Boogie Woogie festivals, including the Belgium Rhythm & Blues Festival, Blues Passions Festival in Cognac, France, the Gaildorfer Bluesfest in the south of Germany, the Drijf-In-Bluesfestival in Giethoorn, Holland and holds the unique distinction as being the only musician in the world to play at the Amsterdam Bluesfestival at the Meervaart six times. Mr.Boogie Woogie has won the prestigious title of Best European Blues Pianist 2006 by Les Trophees France Blues in the company of the many of the world's best blues artists and opened in 2010 the 35th edition of the prestigious North Sea Jazzfestival.
Most recently, in April 2011 Overbeek was voted Best Dutch Blues Pianist 2010.
