Widow's Hill is here to take the pain away with Kickass Hillbilly, Vintage Country, Country Rock, Rockabilly, Oldies, Two-Steppers, Americana, Bluegrass, and much, much more "good-time" music.........
Widow's Hill was the name of a cliff overlooking the coastline on the Collinwood estate located in the fictional town of Collinsport, Maine, in the 1960's soap opera, Dark Shadows. According to the show's legend, in July of 1797, Josette DuPres took her own life by leaping off of the cliff onto the rocks below when she found out that her betrothed, Barnabas Collins, was a vampire. Although other people may have used the cliff’s edge as a means of suicide, Josette is the only person on record known to have killed themselves there. The location earned its name due to the fact that Josette’s body was found adorned in a French wedding gown. The name Widow's Hill is something of a misnomer however, as Josette killed herself before ever actually getting married.
